5 scholarship are aimed at promoting innovation and the diffusion of technologies, strengthening skills, encouraging the transition towards a knowledge-based economy, as envisaged by the strategic objectives of the Scuola Normale Superiore.
PISA, 10 July 2024. In the framework of the various areas of investment of the PNRR funds of which the Scuola Normale Superiore is the executive institution, thanks to the resources provided by Ministerial Decree n. 630/2024, under Mission 4, Component 2 "From Research to Business" - Investment 3.3, it was published the call for n. 5 places (for the 40th cycle, a.y. 2024-2025) for the attendance of innovative PhD courses that respond to the innovation needs of companies and promote the hiring of researchers by companies.
The PhD scholarships, financed by the MUR for a total amount of €300,000.00 and an overall financing of the companies involved of almost €200,000.00, are aimed at promoting innovation and the diffusion of technologies, strengthening skills, encouraging the transition towards a knowledge-based economy, as envisaged by the strategic objectives of the Scuola Normale Superiore.
These are the companies that have chosen to invest in SNS PhD courses and the proposed research topics:
- Planckian Srl co-finances n.1 scholarship for the study of innovative superconducting quantum technologies applied to quantum computation and energy management of quantum systems, as part of the PhD course in Quantum technology and nanoscience
- Ecopol Spa co-finances n.1 scholarship for the research and development of bio-based materials, as part of the same course;
- Fondazione Pisana per la Scienza co-finances, again as part of the Quantum technology and nanoscience course, n. 2 scholarships on the topic of synthesis and characterization of nanosystems in the diagnostic and therapeutic field.
- Gaussian Inc., an American company specializing in computational chemistry, co-finances n. 1 scholarship for the development and marketing of software for the simulation of chemical processes for the PhD course in Chemistry.
