Researchers from Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Ljubljana, in collaboration with international experts, have made a groundbreaking discovery about the evolution of cosmic dust properties in galaxies in the early Universe, using data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).

A new, extremely precise measurement of the mass of the W boson, the particle whose discovery in 1983 earned Carlo Rubbia - a former student of the Scuola Normale - and Simon Van der Meer the Nobel Prize in Physics, was presented a few days ago at CERN.

5 scholarship are aimed at promoting innovation and the diffusion of technologies, strengthening skills, encouraging the transition towards a knowledge-based economy, as envisaged by the strategic objectives of the Scuola Normale Superiore.

In relation to some journalistic reports that have appeared in recent days, according to which, among other things, the Scuola Normale has "communicated the decision to interrupt ongoing collaborations with Israeli universities regarding certain technologies" I would like to express some considerations.

The grant has been awarded to Guilherme Leite Pimentel for the project “Notimeforcosmo”, which will be examining the statistical properties of primordial perturbations imprinted at the Big Bang. The funding is for over a million and a half euros and has a duration of 5 years.
